Hicks in no hurry to leave Sydney

David Hicks says he is in no hurry to leave Sydney and will remain in the city for a few more weeks.

"I'll be here for another two or three weeks," Mr Hicks told News Limited.

The self-confessed terrorism supporter was photographed in Sydney's inner west as he waited for an unidentified woman who has been by his side since he arrived in Sydney two and a half weeks ago.

He was wearing dark sunglasses and appeared nervous as he waited in the car at the Five Dock shopping centre's underground carpark.

News Limited reports Mr Hicks, 32, has a deep voice with a polite tone.

Asked how he was filling in his time in Sydney, he said he was doing "stuff, lots of stuff".

He refused to speak any more to the media and repeated six times that the gag order placed on him by the US government, when he agreed to confess to supporting terrorism, prevented him from speaking to the media until the end of March.

"I can go to jail if I speak to the media," he said.

"Please don't talk to me."
